Most of my friends are my army buddies. But if I meet/worked with you (photographed you) then please befriend me. It’s lonely out in cyberworld.

New bike

Posted in Uncategorized on April 7th, 2009 by sublimei

I ended up finding my $50 lock and no bike to secure yet? I ended up getting a Forge bike from Target. I read reviews that it was one of the better p.o.s. department store brands. It came partially assembled, from China. So it was incorrectly assembled (handlebar on in reverse), had cheap steel and missing pieces. The ride was terrible the seat hurts. Maybe I have to give it some time.

Bike Missing

bike

Tuesday, March 17, 2009 in the 5th Regiment Armory parking lot a red full suspension 21-speed Schwinn bike was stolen. The victim locked the bike up to a tree inside the fenced parking lot near the fence. The victim Thaddeus Harrington, an employee of the MDNG, arrived to work by 6 a.m. the morning of the 17th after riding over six miles through the hill laden, pothole ridden Baltimore streets.

A few days before the theft Harrington bought a $15 bike lock from Walmat to replace his misplaced $50 lock he originally had. Not an avid winter rider Tuesday was the first day in a couple of months that he has biked and would help him get in shape. After completing a day’s work at 3:30 p.m. Harrington heads to the parking lot to mount his bike and go home.

“I exited the building and looked at the tree where I locked my bike up; noticed that the bike wasn’t there anymore”

Harrington than went back into the Armory to the security desk to ask if security had moved a bike.
“The guard behind the desk said and had this, ‘what bike look on his face’ then I realized my fear: the bike was stolen.”

The guard began the questioning for background info and walked with Harrington to visually inspect the scene.

“‘You should have locked it up closer to the building.’ Is what security kept saying. A little too late to do that I thought.”

If anyone have any info as to the whereabouts of the red Schwinn please contact Thaddeus Harrington at 202.246.3558. Reward Available.

I’m going to be positive about this, but can’t help but to look at every bike rider’s bike for my Schwinn.

Nikon 700- WOW

Posted in Uncategorized on February 20th, 2009 by sublimei

I impulse bought the Nikon D700. Not a bad camera. It will take some time for me to get used to it. I love the full-frameness, low ISO noise and resolution. The raw files are about the same as the Fuji S5 without the DR and beautiful color. The camera lets me store different older manual focus lenses in the camera and switch between them with the press of a button. Now if only the Fuji and Nikon atoms were combined and a new element the “Fukon” is created. Instead I will concern myself with the Fukon I will be photographing more assignments and working on my customer relations.
